MATCH RULES
All matches will begin promptly at the posted time in Case's
Tournament Room,
and will be played as social games.
Each of the three players from each team will play individual games with
each of the three players on the opposing team, resulting in a total of
nine games to be played in the match. All nine games will be played,
regardless of whether one team has already won five games, and thus the
match.
Each match will be split into 3 rounds. If 3 team members are not
present for Round 1, the team captain must nominate a bot to replace the
missing player. The opponent will then have to beat this bot to win the
game.
If the absent player is not present at Round 2 the same ruling will
apply throughout the match.
GAME RULES
1. Your game
settings will be set by the TD as above. The game will be over when the
Hardwood software declares the game over and reports the result to the
lobby, even in the event of tied bots causing the game to continue. In
the event of humans being tied when the game ends, a new sudden death game must be started and the player to
take the least points in the first hand is declared the winner, the game
will continue one hand at a time until the scores are no longer tied.
3. If a player leaves during a game or is disconnected,
the remaining player should immediately notify the TD. It is the
responsibility of a returning player to immediately notify the TD upon
return so that the TD can stop the 10 minute timer.
4. When notified by one player that another player has been
disconnected, the TD will set a countdown timer to expire in 10 minutes
under the following conditions: (a) the remaining player requests set of
the countdown timer, or (b) the TD, in his or her opinion, determines
that the delay has lasted long enough. If the countdown timer expires
prior to return of the player, the game will terminate and the
disconnected player will be awarded a loss. Any use of the countdown
timer or award of a loss by the TD based on expiration of the countdown
timer is at the soul discretion of the TD, and is FINAL.
5. In the event that any aspect of game play is disrupted or
disputed, the TD should be notified immediately. The players are urged
to reach mutual agreement on the handling of any disruption or dispute
whenever possible. If the players cannot agree on a solution, the TD
will provide instructions, and the TD's decision will be FINAL.
6. In order to ensure timely play, all decisions of the TD during
play MUST be abided by. If you are dissatisfied with any TD decision,
please proceed with tourney play, and email the TD AFTER the tournament to voice your
concerns or request correction.
